Last week I felt like I was really on a role. I was posting daily on the blog (which I have continued to do, hooray), I was posting parts of the Bear story back-to-back. For me it does feel good to have continuity for creating, it feels good to progress a story along. Part of the way I am able to maintain posting daily is I purposely try to have at least three or more stories going on at the same time. I do this so if I get blocked or busy I have something else to write about.

Recently, I have been super swamped with shutting down one of my businesses and doing the taxes for that, which is a nightmare! I also attend grad school full time, and work full time. I have other responsibilities as well outside of work and writing.

I’ve felt pretty guilty that I haven’t really added too much to any of my series this last week, but then I’m reminded that success favors persistence, and that I’m really writing for fun and to get better at it. In short, I feel I’ve been slacking because I’m busy, but in reality, I should be happy I have been able to maintain my goal of posting daily, even if the content isn’t spectacular.
