Everyone knows that their coffee machine needs maintenance, if not, here’s a hint; it does.

While some coffee makers suggest running vinegar through your machine, and that will do, we use de-scaler.

The problem came after I cleaned this espresso machine. I had ran water through it, but apparently not enough.

My next latte had a burning, pickle juice kick. Causing me to spit out my drink immediately! Apparently, I hadn’t run enough water through it.

I ran another two full reservoirs, made my coffee again, but to no avail! Still, there was this acidic flavor.

Eventually, after another three reservoirs ran through this, it made a perfect latte!

The moral of the story is, if you are using de-scaler, make sure you run enough water through this otherwise you’ll have a nasty taste and wasted good beans!
